9 WAYS to wear a HAIR SCARF (vintage retro turban headwrap) – VINTAGIOUS

Views:208906|Rating:4.85|View Time:7:58Minutes|Likes:3408|Dislikes:107
I love headscarves. They are a saviour on dodgy hair days. I highly suggest not using a slippery scarf like the one I use in the video. It makes it terribly hard to style. A raw silk or cotton scarf I think would be ideal

Check out leaf.tv to see where I saw the 3 styles using the folded scarf first.

Well jel of their camera!

Love the use of depth of field in their videos that give a really ‘advert’ quality feel to everything. Well done them!

I’m going to list each style and where it starts in the video here so, you can skip through if you want to. That’s why I gave each style a name in case you wee wondering,

1) Protect & Serve : 0:18
2) Queenie wrap : 1:10
3) Lovely Land Girl : 2:16
4) Boho Beauty 3:05
5) The Gatsby 3:50
6) Simple wrap 5:08
7) Casbah chic 5:31
8) Beatnik Betty 6:06
9) 40’s Turban 6:29
Hair isn’t the most important thing in the world but, sometimes knowing you have a super cool ‘do’ can make you smile and that can only be a good thing right?

Welcome to Vintagious, here, in my own litttle corner of Youtube I will show you how to create beautiful hairstyles from all eras. Sure, my main focus is on simple vintage hairstyling but I also love easy modern styles.

I don’t have a favourite era, it changes all the time. One day it’ll be Edwardian hairstyles that I’m all over, the next, pinup girl hair, the next I’ll be all about Greek Goddesses and their crazy Barnets! I just love it all!

I do hope that you enjoy my videos and that you can learn something from them, even just a tiny bit – and even if you learn nothing I hope that they make you smile.

Long overdue but I’ve promised so many of you that read my blog that I’ll do a tutorial on how I tie a turban! Here I show you two main ways I tie a turban. The key is to use a scarf that isn’t slippery and keep practising! Don’t be too tidy as well, you want to create a fun accent for your turban 🙂

Hope you enjoy the tutorial! I wear turbans all the time on my blog so feel free to check out the different outfits I wear them with xxx

How to style a Vintage Style TURBAN – Vintagious

Alright Dolls?

Imma just about to explain this all in the intro, and probably you’ve guessed through the title but, if not, this is a video in which I show you the virtues of the vintage style turban. So very much retro goodness is imparted on your aesthetic simply by donning one of the beauts atop your bonce.

Having it pulled down around your pretty visage or indeed pushed back towards your crown creates an entirely different effect, as does jazzing it up with whopping great big flowers, brooches and the like.

The glorious, sparkle-tacular tubans in this video are sold by the incredibly talented Pin up Curl, do please seek her out on the book of face here –

Not only will you find aforementioned turbans but also rather delectable, perfectly proportioned and perpetually pretty hair flower clips and I’m pretty sure, if you desire, you can hire her magical fingers to whip your tresses into a truly authentic hairdo. Wowzers.

I hope you enjoy this wee little video. I have to say, I’m a little disappointed with it. As I edited I realised I should have gone into more detail regarding the styles you can create with the fringe section. I nearly kicked my feathered mules off in disgust. Maybe I can save that for another video…….
