Some of us want to reconnect with our past.
Others want to purchase ethically produced clothing or to protect the environment.
Still others just love the way it looks!
So, today, I’d love to start a discussion about vintage clothing and share a few of my own finds.
Join us for a cup of tea (or coffee) and a chat. And, if you enjoy the show, please tell one friend about us today. Your support means so much to me!
Do you ever go shopping for vintage clothing? What are some of your favorite finds?
Please join the conversation and tell one other woman about Sixty and Me today. The more the merrier!
Here’s a link to the article that I mentioned today:

If you’ve been following fashion lately, you’ve noticed that there is an 80s nostalgia phase in full swing: big shoulders, dramatic silhouettes, exaggerated ruffles, shiny and see-through fabrics… and did I mention big shoulders?
Yeah, they’re everywhere.
Fashion in every era reflects the times in which it’s created. And as much as today’s media rails against conspicuous consumption, the fashion industry seems to be enamored.
Would you like me to produce more videos about fashion for older women or vintage clothing? Let me know in the comments.

We had such an amazing time on location at Elmore Court, Gloucestershire. This will, no doubt, remain one of our favourite Revival Retro photoshoots for years to come.
At Revival our clothing shoes and accessories are inspired by beautiful bygone eras; particularly 1930s fashions and 1940s clothing so the backdrop of the old English mansion house and its beautiful grounds were the perfect backdrop for our vintage photoshoot.
We love the vintage inspired look because the clothing is so flattering. Each season we curate a collection of beautiful vintage style dresses that we think our customers will love. Revival Retro favours a classic and elegant style and this is how we select what will make it to our seasonal lookbook. Visit www.revival-retro.com to view the current collection.
This vintage photoshoot was themed around a weekend away in the English countryside and the setting was just perfect to reflect our classic and elegant vintage style. The family still live at Elmore Court and Anselm and his staff were so welcoming that we felt right at home to portray two friends hanging out in the gardens, relaxing and enjoying an English summer’s day.
Elmore Court is one of the top wedding venues in England and hosts all manner of special occasions. The house is just as impressive as the grounds and a beautiful setting for a celebration. We recommend it! www.elmorecourt.com
For this location based photoshoot our team comprised of a number of Revival Retro regulars; there was Rowena who owns and runs Revival Retro, photographer Tory Smith and models Alexandra Metaxa and Rachel Marquez. Also assisting on the shoot were Revival staff members Sarah Spenser and Isabella Gaman Wong.
We were a tight knit little team who enjoy working together and as a result we were able to have a laugh and enjoy the shoot. It’s wonderful how Ben Ramasami has managed to capture this on film and we are immensely thankful for this lovely ‘Behind the Scenes’ video. More of our #BTS antics can be found at twitter.com/revivalretro and instagram.com/revivalretro
