  1. Thank you, thank you !! I love this. I just finished my first one. I made it with leftover yarn, and I am so sorry, because now I don't have enough to make the scarf. But not to worry I plan on making lots more, and they will have the matching scarf. I am not a fingerless glove person, so I need mittens.

  2. Hi. I’m having a issue with the hat have done 3 hats so far and they are to big I’ve tried 5.00. 4.50. And 3.75 and still to big so wondering what size I should be using my yarn is Bernat sain 100.gram if you can please help that would be great thank you so much I love your videos

  3. Hi… Thank you for this tutorial and all others you have. I made it using a 3.75mm hook for my 7 year old daughter and she just loves it……. fits perfectly too…..

  4. I’m making this hat now in a pretty blue color! I will post a picture of it on instagram when I’m done!

  5. When I do the cinch circle I put 7 more 2dc,ch1,2dc,ch1. I am having difficult time clinching the circle completely shut my yarn just rips.

  6. Hello Jada, I new to this crocheting thing and I have been trying different hats and I came across yours. You taught me how to do the granny square and I love it; however, I'm now trying this hat and I have looked at the video several times and have re-started the hat at least 3 times. The issue I'm having is my hat is getting bigger and bigger, no shape at all, just still flat and I'm on row 9; is this going to start taking shape before I get to row 14 or do I need to start over yet again. The yarn that I'm using is Caron Simply Soft (Kelly Green) and I'm using a size 4.25 hook; can you tell from this what I'm doing wrong, do I need to change yarn. I'm going to keep going and I hope to hear from you soon. I realize this may be a very old video, but I hope you are still reading comments. Thanks so very much for teaching me to crochet.

  7. Love your tutorial!!! I started with an H hook because I have thick hair, but the hat was too big and I'm using Caron Simply Soft…sized down to an G, same thing…next I took out the chain 2 between the double crochets and that worked better. Finally I sized down to a F hook and I'll see how that works…

  8. Hi Jayda !! I,m a subscriber love all your tutorials !! I made the split shell scarf to fit a child instead of 37 ch stitches i did 17. I would like to make the split shell hat to match it. How would i make this in a child size ? Thank you and keep up the awesome job 🙂
